How to delete test results that failed to publish RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    Hi

I am using team foundation server 2008. While publishing some results I copied the test result files(.trx) to a location but forgot to copy the deployment directory that is created while running the test. The publish failed with the error saying could not find the directory.

Then I copied the directory and tried to publish but now I got another error saying

"The specified test run has already been published".

I could not find the results in team explorer by browsing the build. Is there some way I can delete the runs that failed to publish from TFS database and republish it. I don't want to delete the build as I have some results successfully published against it.

    Thanks

Deleting records form TFS warehouse is not recommended. And as far as I know, there's no tool to do this. The only way is delete the relating records from TfsWarehouse database. But this require a comprehensive understanding of the database structure. You can run that test again and publish the new test result.
