Vertical scrollbar appears in error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

Hopefully someone can help me with this as it is driving me insane.

Basically I have a panel (with AutoScroll = true, autoscrollmargin = size(0,0)) which contains a flowlayoutpanel (with autosize = true, AutoSizeMode = growandshrink and flowdirection = lefttoright). I then add child controls (pictureboxes) to the flowlayoutpanel. I size the child controls such that they have the same height as the panel (minus any padding/margins) such that NO vertical scrollbar should be needed. When the first child control that causes the flowlayoutpanel to exceed the panel's rightmost point I get a horizontal scrollbar (as expected) and also a darn vertical scrollbar. If I scroll down I only see empty space below my child controls making me wonder why this vertical scrollbar is being added. THEN, on the addition of the next child control the vertical scrollbar disappears (and rightly so as it is serving no purpose).

I cannot see why this happens. Can anyone help? If my description does not make enough sense I could try posting some code.

    Regards,

    Mark.

  • Yup, it's a bug.  I'm not aware of a workaround.
