How to check if a test case was executed? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Is is possible to see if a test case was tested ? When I'm moving test cases from one test suite to another in Test Plan view in MTM I'd like to filter the test cases which was tested.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Lukasz,

I would like to understand what you mean by tested here. Do you want to know if the test case was executed at all (ever)?

If you go to the "Test" tab in the Testing Center, you can get an idea about the tests not executed by looking at the status. You can consider "Active" tests as tests not executed with a good amount of approximation.

  • Hi Lukasz,

You won't be able to see it at the Test Case level, but in the Test Plan you can mark the state of the Test Suite as Completed.

Go to Test Plan > Contents > Select Test Suite > in the upper right hand corner from the State dropdown select "Completed".   It will then display a checkbox as a visual indicator to state that the Test Suite is completed.

    Hope this helps,
