Azure container to Azure SQL Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

I am trying to connect an Azure Container to Azure Sql Server and it gives me an error.

Message handler encountered an exception System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server).

I have used the connection string as mentioned in Azure. I can connect to Azure SQL Server when I run the container locally.

    Appreciate the help.

    Thanks

    Amit

  • Hi amdoxjames,

Maybe you have already fix it but still want to reply this thread in case someone encounter same issue.

The first thing that I can figure of is the firewall setup. Add the IP of that azure container instance.

    Best Regards,
