Failover Cluster installation fails (SQLServer 2008) RRS feed

  • Question

  • During the installation on the first node by following command,
I got the error dialog at the phase of install "Database Engine Service".
So far I had no clues why this error occurred.

I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2 RC edition as a platforms.
I remember there was no problem SQL/MSFC installation on Windows Server 2008 SP2.
Does anybody has the same problem?

Answers

  • Finally I could solve this issue.
    The solution was quite simple.

You have to update SQL Server 2008 install media with SP1 package.
Then, I could install successfully without any errors.
