Registering custom MP3 codec into windows embedded compact 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I'm trying to register my custom MP3 codec into windows embedded compact 7, but while playing an MP3 song in the target machine(Which runs on Windows embedded compact 7) windows media player is taking the default MP3 codec Integrated with it, not mine. I'd tried changing merit value of my codec to 'MERIT_PREFERRED = 0x800000', but no effect. Is there any other methods to do it, any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • I've found that Merit value of default mp3 in windows is '0x800002' so I just elevated merit value of my codec to '0x800003' and now WMPlayer is taking my codec and showing he seek bar moving along with time, but sound is not getting out. Did anyone faced similar issue, please menion your sugesion(this same codec worked fine in VC with graphedt.exe)
