Ajax framework load fails RRS feed

  • Question

  • User1510859543 posted

    We have someone testing an asp.net web site that is getting errors on a page with AjaxControlToolkit on it.  One of the messages is "ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load."

    It works fine on many other user locations.  What can we do to resolve this?  Thanks.

    Hello Dlchase! Thanks for your post!

    Are you using .NET Framework 4.0 or 3.5? If you are using 4.0, here's the code that should exist in web.config -

    <handlers>
        <remove name="WebServiceHandlerFactory-Integrated"/>
        <remove name="ScriptHandlerFactory"/>
        <remove name="ScriptHandlerFactoryAppServices"/>
        <remove name="ScriptResource"/>
        <add name="ScriptHandlerFactory" verb="*" path="*.asmx" preCondition="integratedMode" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/>
        <add name="ScriptHandlerFactoryAppServices" verb="*" path="*_AppService.axd" preCondition="integratedMode" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/>
        <add name="ScriptResource" preCondition="integratedMode" verb="GET,HEAD" path="ScriptResource.axd" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler, System.Web.Extensions, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/>
    </handlers>

    Regards!

    Thanks, I tried that but still getting error.  I wonder if it is something with their browser accepting pop-ups?  The user does not have a problem when they use the website from home.  Any ideas or have you run across this before?
