Determine in add in if Navigation (search pane) is active RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We have an add in for Word in which we use the application event WindowSelectionChange.
In it we check if the user is entering page header or page footer and takes action on this.

However, when the user has activated Search and the Navigation pane is opened/visible, the results are cleared due to the execution of the WindowSelectioChange.
Now, If I can determin if the search pane is Active, I can exit the event and search results are intact.

I have found no way of determine this other than the first tab, whicj seems to be conected to the DocumentMap of the active window.

At the moment the customer is still using Office 2010.

Does anybody know how to handle this?
