Timing of application switch to suspended mode

    Question

  • Hello,

Is there any way to count how long application is switching to suspend mode?

I do have an application that contains extra threads for calculations. When I put an application out of focus task manager shows 'suspended' mode in 10 seconds for 1-2 extra threads and 10.5 secs for 8 extra threads.

A windows store certification requires application to suspend in 2 secs. In case 1-2 calculating threads certification passes but for 8 threads certification fails with "Application suspend was not detected" error. So i'd like to count that is the real time to make sure I fit into required 2 secs.

    Thanks in advance,
    Vladimir

  • I have just tried a process explorer but it is too straightforward and suspends the process immediately without entering to my OnSuspend callback and does not resume when the focus is back to the application.
