FileNotFoundException??? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My app constructor:

    public App()
    {
    	Instance = this;
    	InitializeComponent();
    	TaskScheduler.UnobservedTaskException += TaskScheduler_UnobservedTaskException;
    	UnhandledException += App_UnhandledException;
    	Suspending += OnSuspending;

    	try
    	{
    		ClientAnalyticsSession.Default.Start("6208c85b-0479-441e-9e65-c8d7c1eb9f75");
    	}
    	catch (System.IO.FileNotFoundException ex)
    	{
    		// TODO: Exception thrown!
    	}
    }

    Any ideas?

  • Try uninstalling your app from the start screen and then reinstall by running it with Visual Studio.  This is a workaround for a bug in background transfer groups (which AppInsights uses) where if you change any capability of the application without a full redeploy, backgroundtransfergroup usage will fail with a file not found exception.

  • Hello J.C.

    Is this a Windows Phone or Windows Store app?

    Thanks

  • Hi J.C.,

    I'm a developer with the AppInsights SDK team.  We would be interested in getting more information from you in order to track down this bug.  You can contact me at jjjordan@microsoft.com and we can try to figure this out.

    Thanks!
