I try to use feature receiver to write some entry to web.config, and it give me the following error: Please help me figure out what is the problem?

Hi Mark, that sound exactly like the problem I had with adding the PropertyBag to a SPWeb object :-( As described in my blog, I changed the SQL permissions on 4 procs to the "WSS_Content_Application_Pools" database role.
