  • Question

  • Hi all,

I was trying to upload the excel sheet (2007) to MOSS 2007. I used Excel Web Access to view the Pivot chart. When I'm trying to change the filter condition in the pivot chart, I'm getting the below error.

The PivotTable report was saved without the underlying data. Use the Refresh Data command to update the report.

I have refreshed the Excel sheet and reloaded again. Still the same error exists. Anyone please share your ideas?

    Thanks

  • Hi Siva,

The excel pivot table looks like it is corrupt. Is excel pivot table that is a part of the access database? If not then I will suggest you to restore the good known excel file backup.

  • Are you saving the PivotTable's source data with the file?  Right click the PivotTable in Excel, and select PivotTable options.  Ensure the box "Save source data with file" is checked.  An alternative is to ensure the box "Refresh data when opening the file" is checked.
