  • Why are CDO 1.2.1 reference documents under Collaboration and Messaging missing?

  • CDO 1.2.1 is no longer a supported (or recommended) mechanism to connect to Exchange and hasn't been so for some time, AFAIK the reference documentation was removed years ago. You can still get the SDK docs from https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/stephen_griffin/2008/01/31/where-did-i-put-those-5-5-sdk-docs/

  • The reference document was available until a couple of months ago. The document that you have given is for Exchange SDK 5.5. I would like to have the documentation for Collaborative Data Objects Messaging API which is a COM library for custom messaging processing applications. I understand that it is recommended to use Outlook Object Model. However, the Microsoft documentation says "Also, developers can still use Extended MAPI(which requires unmanaged C++) in some scenarios where CDO was required." In that case, why do we have the documentation removed?
