Visual Studio Team Services for Academic institutions with Dreamspark premium?

Question
-
Dear all,
Our university research lab is currently using Visual Studio Team Services to host the source control solution for our code. All the team members are students with access to a Dreamspark premium subscription. Right now, it seems we are limited to 5 free users who can access the service. If we want to add a 6th user, should we upgrade our subscription to a paid service or is there a way to somehow use the Dreamspark premium subscription to have more than 5 users?
Thank you,
Simon

Hello Simon Couture,
Dream Spark Subscription does not contain Visual Studio Online Service. After 5 free users in visual studio online you need to buy subscription or need to upgrade the plan.

Hope this helps.

Hi that's correct VSO for DreamSpark is part of the Azure for student offering https://www.dreamspark.com/Product/Product.aspx?productid=99
- Visual Studio Online is the fastest and easiest way yet to plan, build, and ship software across a variety of platforms. Get up and running in minutes on our cloud infrastructure without having to install or configure a single server.
You should speak with your account manager to upgrade to Visual Studio Online services to licensed plan I did this quick reference guide http://blogs.msdn.com/b/uk_faculty_connection/archive/2015/08/16/quick-reference-guide-for-visual-studio-online-using-your-dreamspark-account.aspx
Again if you need help with your account manager let me know if your UK based.. also as a reference Visual Studio online is now called Visual Studio Team Servcies https://www.visualstudio.com/products/visual-studio-team-services-vs
