Windows Send Feedback Tool doesn't remember my password

    Question

  • I downloaded and ran the Windows Send Feedback Tool from Connect.

When I run it, UAC prompts me to allow rundll32 to run. When I click Yes, the first screen that is displayed is "Authentication | Please enter your Windows Live ID".

Even though I check the "Remember my password on this computer" checkbox at the bottom, it never remembers my credentials. Every time I run the app (to submit another bug report), I have to re-enter my Live ID and password again.

Is there a way to get the tool to actually remember my credentials and log in automatically?

    FeedbackTool.dll version is 6.2.8102.0.

  • I've now associated my user account with my Windows Live ID (same ID used for signing into the Feedback Tool), but that hasn't improved the situation.

  • I have the same issue and reported it with the feedback tool.
