Navigation Bar is not localized RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am adding the culture at the end of the script with "&mkt=de-de" and the map is in the correct language but the navigation bar is still in english (e.g. "Road" instead of "Straße").

Is there something special to also localize the navigation bar?

  • Are you sure you are using de-de and not just "de"? When I use just "de" I see the issue you mentioned but that isn't a supported culture code. When I use "de-DE" it works as expected. Here is the map URL reference I'm using:

  • Hi,

Thanks for your answer. Indeed I was using only "de" and not "de-de" and with "de-de" it is showing me the correct navigation and directions.

So here is the next question: Where is a list with the supported cultures?

I used this page and in that list there is "de" and "de-de" mentioned. Or is it the case that every time there is a more specific culture code mentioned only that will work (e.g. "es" will not work, but "es-ES")?

  • You can find the documentation here: The documentation you pointed to is for the REST services and not the V7 JavaScript control.
