how to change default where my SQL Server object explorer appears RRS feed

I always had it on the far left side of my window but now its showing up on the far right. If I open it, It hides my solution explorer which is also on the far right. I want the SQL window on left like I used to have it. How do I change that?

Point to the tab at the bottom which says  "Object Explorer".  Hold down your mouse button and drag the window to where you want it.

Some preset positions which dock the window to various places will appear.  If you hover over them you will get a preview of where the window will snap.

It moves for me, and I see a diagram in middle of open page like a cross of windows, but then vs closes and reopens and the folder is back on the right. The only thing on left side is toolbox.

The last time I tried, VS closed and didn't reopen.

So I upgraded VS from v. 16.1.5 to 16.9.3 and that fixed the issue.

    Thank you.
