    Hi,

    I couldn't quite understand the concept of visual studio online.  Is it the cloud hosting/sharing development which comes as an add on to the visual studio 2013 ? Or is it the entire package (including the visual studio IDE itself) ? 

    I am wondering if I purchase visual studio online, do I need to separately purchase visual studio license as well ? 

    We are team of 3 and we are going to use Visual studio  for our future projects. So, I am evaluating my options...

    Hi mohan8990,

    The former name of Visual Studio Online is Team Foundation Service, it's also called TFS online. You can see the answer reply of this thread for more information about Visual Studio Online. VSO has different plans, and you can get more details about the plans here.  For your situation, your team member is less than 5 hence you can use it freely. Thanks for your understanding.
