Does Folder objects have a LastModified property? RRS feed

  • Question

  • MailItem and TaskItem objects has a LastModificationTime-property in the Outlook 2010 PIA's. Folder objects has not. Or do they, only I don't know how to access it?

    I tried this without success, after reading about the PropertyAcessor and the MAPI Property Tags:

    var lastModified = folder.PropertyAccessor.GetProperty("http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/proptag/0x30080040");

    This yields the following error:
    The property "http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/proptag/0x30080040" is unknown or cannot be found.

    I'm writing a sync software, so knowing when a Folder was renamed is crucial. An alternative would be hooking onto an event which fires each time the folder is renamed, if such a one exists.

    Anyone?

  • What kind of store is it? Can you see the property in OutlookSpy or MFCMAPI?

    Keeop in mind that Exchange stores expose PR_LAST_MODIFICATION_TIME property, but PST stores do not.
