Windows 2008 R2 servers hung at "Operations are in progress..." when rebooting RRS feed

This issue occures when rebooting the servers. It seems like it is finishing some updates before shutting down during the reboot process. But it won't complete after a few days. The servers just hung at the same screen. At the very first beginning when it occured, I just powered off the machine and powered it back on. And the issue was gone at the next reboot. But it comes back after a little while and becomes very often. Right now, one of the servers keeps shutting down itself after a few days. I am very concerned if the shutdown issue is related to the OS hung issue. If it is true, this is very serious as a few of other production servers start having the same hung issue. I am afraid that the hung issue is going to cause these production servers shutting down themselves automatically in the near future.

Windows OS: Windows Server 2008 R2, Enterprise Edition
