How to do one side replication?? RRS feed

  • I just want to create one replication where i can only pull data from publisher and i don't need to pull the edited datas from the publisher..only the inserted data to be pulled from publisher.Can somebody help me on this.

  • As suggested by Ram, you may look into SSIS. You can get achieve this in replication as well, but if the subscription expires, or if you have to reinitialize the replication, then you may have trouble.

    You can choose not to replicate updates/deleted by changing the option in below window while setting up replication.

    New publication wizard -> In the Articles window -> select the article for which you don't want the update/deletes to replication -> click on article properties -> you can choose not to replicate update/delete statements

  • Yes keerthi, i tried this but i couldn't stop the edited data to be replicate.i only need to replicate the new inserted datas,not the updated or existing datas.

  • That what I suggest you to use SSIS with some filters on date / identity columns  filter out only newly inserted data
