KB928366 Installation Problem compounded with Symantec Scropt Blocking Alert RRS feed

  • Hi all, My KB928366 installation problem is similar to others in this forum except that I get a Symantec script blocking alert while trying to implement the solutions that I have found posted here and on other sites.
    See my problem statement with screens shots of popups at:
    Apprecicate any help I can get.

  • Hi Captain,

    It seems that the Symantec anti-virus software was installed on your machine. So could you please first try to stop the anti-virus software and try again?

  • I tried disabling my antivirus and got the same results. However, while performing the "remove Microsoft.NET Framework" steps, I found 2 Freedom Security entries in "Add / Remove Programs". I could not remove these entries. I'll try contacting whoever makes Freedom Security. I put a screen shot at the bottom of my on-going saga at:
