Connecting Oracle using SSIS RRS feed

  • We are using SSIS in SQL Server 2014, trying to conenct to Oracle. We are not able to do it. I see Attunity connectors can help it but it says it works with Enterprise & Developer Edition only.

    Can any one help me with Step by step how to connect as I a new to SSIS and MS BI

  • First download 64 bit ODAC from Oracle Site.

    After that get the TNS Ora file from Oracle administrator and change the Ora file in your system.  It is normally located at "C:\DevSuiteHome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\TNSNAMES.ORA"

    Then you can check by creating 64bit ODBC to connect the Oracle Service. The connection should be successfull. ORA file normally consists of Oracle Server Name and Port number.

    Once the above steps are done then you can start opening DataTool to create packages.
