LS2012 - DDL has a selected value but the backstage variable is still NULL RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a LS2012 web application with some DDLs connected to queries.
The queries are auto executed and depend on other values in the screen.
I've noticed that sometimes, the DDL is showing a selected value (by default, when the query is executed after an item on the screen was changed) BUT the backstage variable that is connected to the DDL is still NULL...
    Any ideas why this happens?
    Thanks!

If it happens in debug,  you can try to enable diagnostics and see it that gives more info:

  • Thank you for your reply.

It does happen in debug and I enabled diagnostics.

But, diagnostics show only (as expected) the access to the ApplicationData.svc but there is no way through Trace to understand why sometimes there is a default selected value to DDL.
