Updating the user screen when items added on database RRS feed

  • Lets say i have two users using my application. The first user takes a 20 mins break and while the first user is taking his break, the second user inserted an item to the database. I want to update the second user screen by reloading the data.

    How do i do it.

    Technology use.

    SQL Server

    Dapper

  • For SQL-Server see the following using SqlDependency class. Please note this requires changes at the server which means specific permissions are needed, if you don't have them discuss this with your DBA. Lastly, there are restrictions (mostly complex SQL) which are not supported but simple edit and add's should be easy enough.
