Is sample code available for protocols? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • No. Microsoft does not supply sample code for protocols.  But IDL file definitions are provided for RPC protocols.  And implementers may have access to Microsoft Windows source code through a separate agreement.  For more information, please visit the Open Specifications website or email the Open Specifications Team.

  • Access to Microsoft Windows source is handled through the Share Source Initiative.  The Shared Source Initiative Microsoft licenses product source code to qualified customers, enterprises, governments, and partners for debugging and reference purposes.

For more details of the about the Shared Source Initiative can be found here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sharedsource/default.aspx
