Terminal Server Users Printers not redirecting RRS feed

    Dear Microsoft Partner Support,

My client is running the following two servers:

    1. Windows 2008 SP2 as a Domain Controller [F-Server]
    2. Windows 2008 SP2 as a Terminal Server as a member server. [R-Server]
    3. Clients are mostly Windows XP computers.

On the Domain Controller Group policy none of the Administrator Templates have been configured for Terminal Server or anything else.

The problem is that the Terminal server will not redirect the user’s printers.  All the printers are on the network with a static LAN IP address.  What’s funny is when I RDP into the Domain Controller all my printers are redirected and this just seems odd as the server that should redirect printing doesn’t.  I will attach a few screen shots showing the RDP setting and the Terminal server settings.  I have been searching the WEB for answers but have come up with none for this Windows 2008 box.  FYI: When using Windows Server 2003 none of these problems existed…but my client has this need to have the newest and greatest stuff.  Please advise, Alex Samol

  • Having the same problem.  Others have mentioned DNS, print drivers, etc.  When I log into the broker server, I have my printer, however, if I'm redirected to another farm member I don't get it.
