Data Sets Option is not Visible in Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Community

  • Hi, 

    Data Set Option is not Visible in Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Community. 

    I am using Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Community, I am unable to find the Data Set option. I know that it should be available in Data Section. 

    You have to right click on your Project then Add - New Item - Data but Data Set are not reflecting there. 

    Please help me out.

    Firstly, there are some clarifications with you:

    1. what's is your project type?

    On my VS 2015 Community, I create a C# winform project, by default, right click Add - New Item - Data, the DateaSet shows normally, please see:

    2. In Visual Studio, Please go to Help> About Microsoft Visual Studio to check if the data related tools have installed correctly, please see:

    If these components don't appear, please go to Control Panel to Modify your VS, and install the Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools, or you could also install it manually from the following link:

    3. If the error still persists, I suggest you repair VS via Control Panel, then use  http://aka.ms/vscollect to gather the installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.zip from %temp% folder. Please upload the file to  https://onedrive.live.com/ and share the link here.

    I have tried to same but its not reflecting in my Computer.

    Please check below Information,

    Project Type : Visual C# - Web - ASP.NET Web Application ( .Net Framework 4.5.2 ) 

    I am sharing the Images, Please go through it and suggest me whether i am missing anything.
