Editing the default window that inbound emails open in. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi folks,

I am struggling with the Outlook 2010 developer bits. I am trying to change the default window that opens when you double click an email in my imap inbox. I have added a new field (postit notes) to my columns so I can make obvious notes on these emails without actually opening and editing them. I have worked out how to edit the IMP.note for individual messages to include my extra postit section, but just can’t get it to work as a default.

Any ideas would be hugely appreciated as I'm a beginner at all this developer stuff.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Gordon

  • Are you saying you created a custom form for a custom message class?

Sounds like a COM add-in that adds a from region to all open inspectors would be a better solution...
