FIXPROJ problem (not a project log file)

Product: Visual Sourcesafe 6.0d (build 31222)

I've been trying to ARCHIVE a couple of projects.

The archive process, both using Visual Sourcesafe Admin 6.0 > Archive Projects..., and SSARC.EXE, fails with uscaaaaa.a / ywhaaaaa.b files missing.

I found the FIXPROJ instructions and followed them, but all I get is

H:\>FIXPRJ uscaaaaa [path to project]\VSS\data
uscaaaaa is not a project log file.

for both files.

Are the instructions wrong? What am I doing wrong?

- both FIXPRJ.EXE and the uscaaaaa files are in the same location
