Hi All,
We have developed a Windows Store app.
Signed with a test certificate generated from Visual Studio.
Now we are trying to side-load the app into end users system.
the systems are restricted and don't allow the license to be downloaded and we get this error
We Couldn’t get your developer license for Windows 8.1 Error 0x800723EF3”)
I know the option mentioned here where admin can enable a non expiring license
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh974578.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396.
Bit is there any way an user can get the developer license from somewhere and install it manually on the system ?
Thanks and Regards,
Saurav

No. The two options are to be online and connect to the license server or to be on a domain and use the policy.

Hi Rob,
As usual thanks for your answers :).
I feel this restriction is too much for a side loading scenario. Even for testing we need to acquire a developer license and certificate which can be too much for a non-technical user.
Please provide your inputs
Is there any user voice for this point ?
Thanks and Best Regards,
Saurav
