    Hi all,

    I need to develop windows CE 6 console app.
    Can I develop it using VS not from OS image but as standalone project?

    Yes, Visual Studio 2008 has a template for this under Project Types->Smart Device->Win32 Smart Device Project.

    Under Application Settings choose Console application.
