insert into more than one oracle table in one action RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

    I'm exploring the oracle WCF Lob adapter.

    I want to insert into more than one oracle table in one action (xml/ message).

    How can I do it using BizTalk? , using Code?

  • Using BizTalk with this scenario is not supported yet. However we will be supporting this feature in the next release of the OracleDB adapter.

    To do this from a proxy program, or from WCF channel programming, you can start a TransactionScope and send the two messages in the same scope. Similar to:

    using (TransactionScope ts = new TransactionScope())

    {

        channel.Request(msg1);

        channel.Request(msg2);

        ts.Complete();

    }

  • Hi All,

    Is there any option in the new WCF LOB Adapter for inserting to multiple Oracle tables using one message?

  • Hi Itai Tzur,

    This can be achieved by creating composite schema.
