  • Question

  • Whenever I launch a Java application (minecraft) it completely crashes my computer. I don't get a bluescreen or anything, it just shuts down.
The graphics drivers won't be the problem, I'm also playing other non-java games (such as counter-strike or Left4Dead) and those don't shut my computer down.

  • Hello Dylan-Meeus,

I suggest you try installing a more recent version of your graphics drivers from your manufactures website. I have a nVidia GTX 260 and I can play normal games on the default drivers but Minecraft throws an error whenever I try to play it. Simply installing the latest graphics drivers from nVidia.com solved my issue.

    Hope this helps.
