    Hi,

I am trying to debug a Window Mobile 2003 application within VS2005.  I am using Device Emulator V2.0.

When I start a debug session, the emulator for the Pocket PC 2003 SE was very quickly loaded, and then the waiting cursor is appearing and slowly spining on the emulator.  The emulator session, at this time, is appeared to hang and could not load the application that I try to debug.

Does anyone have ran into this situation?  Any suggestion to fix this problem?

Thank you in advance for your help!

PS.  I remember that It's used to work, but now I can not runing a debug session via emulator any more Sad.

  • I found the causes of the problem.

The older saved-states contains possible invalid setting.

I found the solution for different problem from the MSDN, and it works for my case also:

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>

There are two possible directory where you might have older save-states.  In the global directory:
    \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Device Emulator
    or in your user directory:
    \Documents and Settings\<your user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Device Emulator

You will want to delete the .dess files in these directory.
