IF none value in Dropdownlist then set null value by default RRS feed

  • IF no value in Dropdownlist then set null value by default but dont show this error, Bcoz this is optional field.

    Expected Result:In report if any fields are marked as optional,then at the run
    time not any validation should be display.

    Actual result:In report if user unchecked the optional fields and click on
    "View report" button,error message is display .

  • But my requirment is select multipl value in dropdownlist and get value from Query (SP).

  • In that case modify your SP to include "ALL" or "NA" option (by using union) and then in avaliable value tab select your DS pointing to SP and in default value set NULL as the default value. By this way the default value will always be selected. Note "ALL" will be the text while NULL will be the value


    Select "All" Label,NULL Value


    Select a label, b Value from table1 .....rest of your SP

  • yes 100% right... I have done before this post...but problem is that when user uncheck the selected value then got same error.
