Multiple valued parameter drill through reports SSRS

Question
-
HI,
I have a main report which has all the cases that are "DUE" and "OVERDUE". I have the count of the cases that are due and overdue at the top of the report. If I click on the overdue count it should take me to the child report which has just the overdue cases. And same with the due count. I tried to do it using drill through report by passing the field due_overdue from the query through the parameter. From the main report, even if I chose the overdue count or due count, it is taking me to the child report which just gives me the list of due cases. By default it is giving me only due cases irrespective of whatever I chose. Please can somebody help me on this. Your help is appreciated.

Hi Jan,
According to your description, the field contains two values “DUE” and “OVERDUE”, and two textboxes in the main report contains the contain value of those two specific field values. When you click those two actions, you need to display corresponding “DUE” or “OVERDUE” data in the drill through report, right?
In your scenario, since the textbox doesn’t contain any specific field value, when you click the action for the textbox, it will pass the first value in this field to filter drill through report. So you will see all data for “DUE” in drill through report when you click those two textboxes. You need to pass specific parameter values in action. Please refer to screenshots below:

Hi Jan,
In your scenario, you need to specify the correct path of the drill through report in the report server. If the drill though report is under the report manager Home folder, you need to specify the report with path like that: /drillthroughreport. Please refer to links below:

Hi,
See my last reply in this recent active thread, try like that.
Make sure you have common joining condition between your parent & child report.

Thanks for your reply. Let me be clear on the problem I am having. My parent report has no parameters while child report has one parameter which is passed from the parent one. I have clicked on allow multiple values in the parameter of the child report. In the parent report, right clicked the textbox of the count of overdue and in the actions tab, specified the child report and added the parameter with the value. But still not working. Can any one help please. Thanks.Thursday, November 26, 2015 3:59 PM

Thanks Qiuyun, it worked for just due and overdue cases separately. Now I wanted to get all the cases. If I click on the total count, it should take me to the report with all the cases. Please can you tell me how can I get all the cases when I click on the total count. Thanks for your help.Friday, November 27, 2015 2:03 PM

Thanks Qiuyun, I could work it out. Now the problem I am having is if I export the report into excel, the drill through reports are not working. I have downloaded the main report into excel and If I click on the hyperlink, it is not taking me to the child report. Please can you give some advice on how to do it. Thanks.
