session(?) lifetime .. RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi there..

    FLOW_ESTABLISHED_Vx (inMetaValues -> transportEndpointHandle) - connection
    ENDPOINT_CLOSIRE_Vx (inMetaValues -> transportEndpointHandle) - disconnection

    Use the transportEndpointHandle, knowing the lifetime of the session?

    And ..

    If you are able to know the lifetime, then you can get the same result by using the flowHandle instead transportEndpointHandle?

  • The flow lifetime can be figured out by the FLOW_ESTABLISHED callout and the flow delete Notify function being invoked.

    The endpoints lifetime can be figured out by the ALE_RESOURCE_ASSIGNMENT classify and the  ALE_RESOURCE_RELEASE classify.  The Endpoint closure is able to be pended, so you don't know it's fully gone until the RESOURCE_RELEASE

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi dusty.

    thank you for reply.

    But I want to know the connection close using transportEndpointHandle.

    FLOW_ESTABLISHED_Vx callout will notify when it is connect.

    ENDPOINT_CLOSIRE_Vx callout will notify when it is disconnect / connection close.

    Then transportEndpointHandle find the same value and the duration of the connection for the session, is not it?
