Does submitting of an App for Windows Phone 8 delete the 7.5 Version of that App? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I submitted yesterday an update for one of my Apps. I compiled and updated this App with Visual Studio 2012 and Windows Phone SDK 8.0. After uploading the App, there was a Message that my "old" App for 7.5 will be deleted after the new Version for 8.0 is certified and ready to publish. But Users need a Version for. 7.0, 7.5 (7.1) and 8.0. Will be the Version for 7.5 really deleted? For now I changed the publish process to manually and hope that this process would not delete the Version of my App for 7.5.

  • Hi Dominik,

If the latest build is only works on 8.0 devices, then you should use the "add" option in the update process, opposed to using "update selected". This will enable to you manage multiple binaries that distribute to their respective operating systems. If you need to re-do the submission like I stated, please submit a support request so we can see about canceling the latest update.

    Thanks
