Printing Geometries/Geographies from SQL Server 2012 to Google Maps API v3 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    As you can understand from the topic; I am trying to find a way to print geometries over Google Maps API

    I found a way to implement it by using "GeoXML v3 js extension" for Google Maps API v3 and MVC4 + Entity Framework 5 Geom.AsGml() method but I couldn't manage to make it work. EF prints GML as routed XML file but GeoXML is only reading it without printing. Here a sample data that my db produces form a dataset

    <?xml version="1.0"?><LineString xmlns="http://www.opengis.net/gml"><posList>40.426777554072089 21.299080213439424 40.427474049129728 21.298781965414776</posList></LineString>

    Do you thing is there a problem with this GML? Because GeoXML extension is working when I use another XML format.

    I will appreciate if you may suggest another approach for this also? But only thing is I should use Google Maps unfortunately :( At least for this project.

    Thanks in advance for your support.

    All the bests,

  • This looks to be more like a question relating to Google Maps than to SQL Server. Have you tried asking in the Google Maps forum instead?
