Window size: Virtual Machine Connection vs. Remote Desktop RRS feed

  • Question

When I remote (desktop) into a VM the maximized window size fill my entire 1680 x 1050 monitor but when I connect to the same VM via Hyper-V Manager the maximum window size is much smaller, probably about 1024 X 768, requiring a lot of scrolling to see everything.

Is there a way to maximize the Hyper-V Manager connect window so that it is 1680 x 1050?

  • This may be an issue with the video configuration/ driver issue in relation to the server hosting the vm's. I've used this same configuration for a flight schools in miami customer of ours and I am currently utilizing 1680x1050 resolution. Hope this helps.

  • Thanks a lot, Dan. If I understand your reply correctly, you're saying that, yes, in your case you are able to use 1680x1050 for your VM window's resolution?
