SkmMenu and :NET 2.0 problem RRS feed

    Hello,

I've published an app, with SkmMenu, in a server with .NET 2.0 and it raises an error like:

System.Security.VerificationException: Operation could destabilize the runtime.

There will be a new version of SkmMenu? Can we fix this or somehow change the source code in order to run on a .NET server.

    Thank you.

Can that control run in the medium trust level or it require full trust?

Anybody find a workaround for this? I'm getting the same thing (we're using web.com as host)

I solved the problem, creating a new XML menu, not horizontal but a vertical and colappsible.

Concerning the SkmMenu, I think that, if you have the source code, you could rebuild the assembly in .net 2.0 and/or fix the code.

Hello, though an old thread, I just thought I would add how I solved the same problem in case 'googled' by anyone else . The menu worked fine locally, but not when uploaded to my website provider. (Got 'Operation could destabalize runtime' error message). This was because I was using the original 1.0 version of the dll which I had downloaded directly from the skmMenu website. For whatever reason, it was 'happy' on my local machine but not when uploaded. So, I downloaded the source code and rebuilt it in Visual Web Developer 2008 which I understand updated the project to asp.net 2.0 and then used the  new .dll which was generated in the build. Solved it for me!
