Azure Cost Management for CSP Providers - Account setup / Account access RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are a Microsoft Tier 2 Disti, and I've set up our account following the steps provided on the Cost Management page from the Azure portal, providing all the required info, including the Application ID, Commerce ID and Application Secret key.

What I haven't set, because I haven't seen any message about this requirement, is the e-mail address and password for ulterior access.

Due to this miss, I no longer can access the account, even if I am the administrator, because all the login pages require an e-mail address and password and don't have the option to reuse the app details.

If I try to use the Forgot Password option I receive an "E-mail is not registered" message.

How can I get access to that account again?

  • Hi Bogdan,

    Following our correspondence.

    Please use the following link

    https://azure.cloudyn.com

and try to login to Cloudyn your business e-mail.

This should work, but again let us know if this is not the case.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Bogdan,

Azure customers are not required to sign in with user name and password to Cloudyn.
Thanks to SSO, once logged into the Azure portals, you should be able to access Cloudyn directly, skipping the login page.

Are you having a different experience than the one described above?

    Thanks,

    Sharon

  • Hi Sharon,

If I try to access the Azure Cost Management directly from the Azure Portal I receive a "User ... has status initiallySuspended." message for the SSO authentication.

    Thank you,

    Bogdan

  • Hello Bogdan,

Thanks for the additional information about the error you receive from the Azure Portal.

Can you please confirm what happens if you go to: https://appazure.cloudyn.com/ and click "SSO Login" and try to login with your Azure e-mail and password?

That would be a big help in our investigation.

    Thanks.

  • Hello Micah,

I receive a message telling me that the e-mail address is not registered for SSO.

"Email or Domain is not registered for Single Sign On (SSO).
Please verify your entered credentials or contact support@cloudyn.com to register for SSO."

    Thanks,

    Bogdan

  • Hi Sharon,

I managed to get in CLoudyn and established connection with Partner Center (CSP Indirect Provider), how can we set the structure with distri -> resellers -> end customers and the related cost+ ?

Where can I find that specific manual? How can we request a demo for that ?

    Thanks

  • Hi Jurjen,

Thank you for contacting us and for registering to Azure Cost Management.

Following is a video that can take you through the process of structuring your entity tree:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAd9G7u0FmU

After this step is completed, you can associate accounts/subscriptions to those entity. The following video will show you how to do that:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9uTWSdoQYo&t=8s

Then you should be able to see your costs by entity, grouping your reports by "customer".

I have forwarded your request for a demo to the relevant team.

    Thanks,

    Sharon

  • Hi Ashish and JernejPirc,

    Thanks for posting your question.

There are few users marked as Admins on both your accounts. They should have received an e-mail prompting them to allow you access to the tool. The e-mail might have found its way to the junk inbox, so it's worth checking this with them.

The Admins can log into Cloudyn and via the settings cog (to the right of their names) > User Management - edit your user and allow it access by marking it as "active".

    Thanks,

    Sharon
