Mature version of the Club Starter Kit? RRS feed

    Hi Folks,

I did have quite a bit of fun (relatively speaking) with the original version of the kit, now that I see there are at least three versions out which one are people running and which one is actually usable out of the box?

Is there a version of the original kit with just the Forums that Mark made added to it and perhaps new administration pages, I find some of the new versions went overboard and used some external frameworks or architechtures.

Anyways, I am looking forward to doing a little coding again so a good starting point that is at least not the original base version of the kit would be nice to see.

    Hi,

I opted for the CSK 2.0 version which I can easily build on and adapt, I dont like to be forced to used a specific DAL layer so the 3.0 beta I am staying away from.

     Here it is:

First draft after 10 minutes of tweaking and now we are off to the races.

I'm still running 2 sites based on the original plus add-ons (the Document extension, Mark's forums, and aspsksolutions Club Web Admin) plus a bunch of personal modifications.  Although I've been tempted to go to version 2, the effort of migrating all of my data over was too much to swallow.

I don't know of anyone who has packaged up the original with all the bug fixes and extensions that have come out over the years.  I've thought about packaging up what I have, but it includes quite a few personal add-ons, failed experiments, etc., that would probably just confuse people.
