How to use Azure Storage in Azure Virtual Machine? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to run RStudio on my virtual machine (Windows Server 2012 R2)

My data is stored in the Azure Blob Storage.

How do I call the data from Azure Blob Storage on RStudio? Can I update data on the Storage from RStudio?

I'm totally new at this, so step-by-step will help me a great deal!

Please respond, I'm dying out here!

    Thank you,

    Soomin

  • I've never used RStudio, so I have no idea whether it supports accessing BLOB storage or not.  However one option would be to script the retrieval of the data, for example using Powershell you can connect to your BLOB storage and copy the data to the local storage on the VM.

  • Hi,

In addition, you can use the Import/Export Service to transfer data to Blob storage in Windows Azure. For more detailed information, please refer to the link below:

    Hope this helps!
