Migration from DB2 to SQL Server

Question

Hi Experts ,

It would be great if someone could share the case study or some good material for DB2 to SQL Migration .I posted the same question in another forum but did not get much output .

Thanks Alberto .But if this is the only file available then I have to livewith it .I have this pdf since many day now and ofcourse its a good one........I was looking for a tool or a good case study sort of stufff ....

Hi,

Currently, we don't have a SSMA migration tool for DB2. The document pointed by Alberto is also recommend by Microsoft as you can see at http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/en/us/default.aspx.

Besides, you can use SQL Server Import and Export Data Wizard or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to import data from DB2 to SQL Server. You need to install Microsoft OLEDB Provider for DB2 on the server on which SQL Server is running.
