Simulator onscreen keyboard smaller than on actual device RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just noticed while testing my app with the simulator, that the onscreen keyboard is much smaller than on my Surface RT with the same resolution. On Surface it takes up about half the screen, on the simulator it is probably about a 3rd. I am specifically trying to test my app so that the onscreen keyboard won't obscure elements of the UI.

I had a quick look on the web for how to change the keyboard size but couldn't find anything. No doubt a simple setting change, but where?

  • According to reply on Connect, this is a bug and will be fixed in "the next version" of Windows and/or VS. So much for anyone wanting to actually "simulate" a real tablet...
