Outlook requiredAttendees.setAsync returns an error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm making a task pane Office Add-in which needs to be able to set attendees for appointments. The add-in can set requiredAttendees (or optional) in the Outlook client, but the very same add-in cannot set it in the web client. I get an error a minute or so after the request, "Ett internet formatfel uppstod" (An internal format error has occurred).

    I've tried the code examples from the API reference but they will not work in OWA, only in the Outlook client.

    https://dev.outlook.com/reference/add-ins/Office.context.mailbox.item.html
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn574750.aspx#mod_off15_HowToGetSetRecipients_ToSetRecipients

    Example code I've tried (among others):
    Office.context.mailbox.item.requiredAttendees.setAsync(["alice@contoso.com", "bob@contoso.com"]);

    Adding attendees works in the web client though, requiredAttendees.addAsync, just not setting them.

  • Hi Jacob,

    Based on my test, I can reproduce that issue too.

    I suggest that you may submit the feedback here.
