Creating an http listener to handle GET/POST requests through IIS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I've used PHP on a previous webpage and I am wanting to do something slightly similar here in regards to GET/POST requests.

I have created an http listener that implements the IHttpHandler interface. I am simply wanting IIS to use the listener to handle GET/POST requests from my website and send a response back to the client page. After compiling the listener to a dll and adding a handler mapping, I get a 404 error when using a sample page to generate a POST request to IIS. The requests use FastCGI in IIS. Searching and reading through Microsoft's documentation made this seem like this should work.

What could I be missing here? Am I wrong in assuming that this is a method that should work? I'm just looking for a little guidance on what needs to be done here.
