need help on putting system to connected standby mode programmatically RRS feed

  • Question

  • i've read "how i can put windows 8 into connected standby mode" discussion from this forum and it says that i can use WDTF to enter and exit CS programmatically.

i've tried the suggestion in c# but it failed with this error:

"Unhandled Exception: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {0D972387-817B-913F-E9993FF401EB} failed due to the following error: 80040154 class not registered <Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 <REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG>>"

even the samples in "C:\Program Files\Windows Kits\8.0\Testing\Samples\WDTF\Tests\vbs\ConnectedStandby\ConnectedStandbyCycles_Sample.vbs" fail with "ActiveX component can't create object:"WDTF.WDTF" error message".

i've tried to get answer from the discussion but no respond so far. can anyone help me out here?
